Drawing inspiration from the Russian Empire, a little bit of Downton Abbey with a unique take on cultural flair, each look from Tadashi Shoji fall 2013 collection represented warmth and sophistication below the dreary, gloomy Fall skies. Dark shades of amber reds, sapphire blues and subtle blacks dominated the show, with occasional pinks and whites illuminating the entire collection. Looks were structured by lace, chiffon and sequin textures providing much attention to details and flawless tailoring.
Stand out Tadashi pieces included the jewel-toned lace and chiffon Watteau back dress. He also created organza and lace capelets in a snowy palette of muted grays and soft pinks to throw over her shoulders.
As always, Shoji’s pieces embody a woman of pure elegance and his latest collection is definitely no exception. Be prepared to see Tadashi Shoji collection on at a red carpet premiere and award show.
