Taco Mac has been in existence for 35 years, beginning in 1979. But what is 35 years old is new again with a little face lift! Taco Mac on Ponce de Leon, in Decatur, Ga. has recently endured a re-image of its name, venue and menu. The short shutdown for remodeling has not slowed it down, as the downtown Decatur crowd continues to show its support!

Taco Mac - Decatur, located at 240 W Ponce De Leon Ave, Decatur, Ga. 30030, closed down in August 2013, for a re-image, and reopened in October 2013. Once nice, little sports bar and grill, the redressed Taco Mac (now completely bought in to the nickname T.Mac) is now a great open spaced, surround screened, finger licking good sports bar and grill. The total re-image took approximately 10 weeks to complete.

The venue, once stoic, is now boasting 64 updated LED screens for guests to view the sports from practically any seat in the house. There is also a wall of over 2,000 bottles of beer, with offerings of a variety of 100 draft and 75 bottled beers. All of which screams the restaurant’s theme of sports and beer.

To compliment the variety of libations, T.Mac has taken it’s menu to the next level with fourteen new yummy menu items: queso con carne, sweet hickory BBQ flatbread, Italian tomato & cheese flatbread, buffalo chicken flatbread, pepperoni and four cheese flatbread, T.Mac hand-breaded chicken tenders, hand-breaded buffalo chicken tenders, broccoli queso casserole, fresh roasted mushrooms, homemade coleslaw, green beans, onion rings, mushroom steak burger and grilled chicken swiss sandwich. Menu item prices range from 3.95 to 13.75.

“The transformation has been absolutely remarkable. It’s given us a chance to reconnect with our values and refuel our commitment to providing great food and drink to the Decatur community – especially its beer and sports enthusiasts. You can see our enthusiasm in every inch of the new space and we’re thrilled to reopen our doors,”

~ Bob Campbell, T.MAC Sports Grill CEO

Along with the yummy new items, the old staples are nothing short of tasty themselves.

T.Mac is the self-proclaimed “southeast’s original buffalo wings since 1979”. The restaurant offers original, roasted and boneless wings, in six pack, single, double, triple and party sizes. Wings come in eight flavors: sweet hickory, lemon pepper, mild, medium, hot, 3 mile island, habanero bbq, and death! The wing prices range from 6.95 for the six pack, to 44.75, for the 50 piece party pack.

When visiting T. Mac you can count on fresh because all items are cooked to order.

Don’t’ have time to wait? Or need to grab a meal on the go? Don’t fret. T. Mac offers an online order option which means you can place your order ahead and pick it up with little to no wait. Even more awesome than that is, that if you have a group, you each can place your own order, within the ordering system, promoting order accuracy. How many times have you ordered during an office meeting and got less than what you bargained for? Great lookin’ out for the groupies, T.Mac!

The best way to top of a palette pleasing visit at T.Mac is with one of two of its homemade sweets: the s’mores brownie or the caramel apple cake. Each sweet will cost you $4.95. (Take a look at the mouth watering photo of the s’mores brownie, attached.)

Over the years, Taco Mac Sports Bar & Grill has acquired 38,568 FaceBook likes and 3,299 Twitter followers.
