Starting March 27th you can head to Taco Bell for breakfast. The Mexican fast food restaurant is joining the breakfast fray with the other big names. One of the items topping the menu is the waffle taco. Syrup soaked scrambled eggs, and a sausage patty served on a waffle shaped like a taco. If this sounds good you can hit your local Taco Bell next month for breakfast goodness.
The menu will also feature Cinnabon delights. These sugary bites are about the size of a donut hole with crisp cinnamon dough on the outside and Cinnabon like icing on the inside. They will also feature breakfast burritos, crunchwraps, and grilled breakfast tacos.
According to the Huffington Post, Taco Bell’s president Brian Niccol, announced the Waffle Taco would be coming to 5500 Taco Bells across the country on March 27th. Niccol made the announcement on Monday in a conference call with reporters. "I think one thing that's been lacking in breakfast has been innovation, and putting a little twist on the ordinary," Niccol said. "We're going to do what we always do: we're going to innovate. You're going to see breakthrough products that, frankly, nobody has seen at breakfast in the past 40 years."
Taco Bell’s, chief marketing officer, Chris Brandt was quick to add the menu’s pricing would be at a competitive level to the other fast food chains. Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Taco Bell’s announcement came just hours after McDonald’s said they were planning on extending their breakfast menu hours.
