Animal lovers came together to save this nameless and unwanted dog. Like so many others on the streets of Houston and the rest of the country, Mirabella wandered hungry and sad, trying to find a bite of food to keep herself goind on the mean streets.
When Taco Bell called Harris County Animal Control, Mirabella was impounded for the usual three days. On the average, after 72 hours, most unwanted pit bulls and other animals are euthanized. Due to so many animals being bought and bred, there simply are not enough homes, so these dogs are being killed by the truckloads across the country.
Mirabella is a single member of the lucky few.
She is currently boarded at Summerwood Animal Clinic until a foster home can be found. Amazingly, Mirabella is very calm and loving. She is heartworm positive and will most likely go through a conventional cure, however, new strides have been achieved with herbal treatments with much success.
Everyone who’s met Mirabella says what a fantastic dog she is. She is enjoying being a dog for the very first time in her life.
“Mirabella is an absolute sweetheart, wagging tail, turning over on her back for belly rubs. She's just got an incredibly happy personality!”
