The State Theatre in Falls Church brings one of Louisiana's best guitarists to the Washington Metropolitan area on Thursday, August 14, 2014. Tab Benoit this Spring performed on the main stage at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival prior to guitar great Eric Clapton and now he brings his show to a more intimate setting. I don't think the venue matters for Tab Benoit as he will deliver his recipe of Cajun flavored blues spiced with dashes of funk and rock and topped with low effects, passionate guitar playing filled with solos you can feel deep inside. All prepared by the Raging Cajun guitar cook Tab Benoit so beware it is some hot stuff!
If you love blues, guitar music and a fun time then this is a must see show! Tab Benoit was awarded the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year in 2007 by the Blues Music Award. In both 2012 and 2013 Benoit has won the Blues Music Award for Contemporary Blues Male Artist. He also has been inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame which is quite an honor considering all of the great musicians who have come out of Louisiana. You can learn more about this outstanding musician at his website.
The State Theatre provides an intimate, indoor setting to catch Tab Benoit in a club setting. Good sound, great views, a full restaurant menu, and a full selection of refreshing beverages certainly help make the show better. Bringing top notch blues performers like Tab Benoit certainly helps the State Theatre become one of the best music venues in the area. The venues schedule also include upcoming shows with blues artist such as Jonny Lang, The North Mississippi All Stars and The Nighthawks to name just a few. The State Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Falls Church at 220 North Washington Street. You can find out about tickets, see who else is coming to the venue, and learn more about The State Theatre at their website.
