Louisiana-based blues superstar Tab Benoit will return to Des Moines on Sunday, September 14 for a 7 p.m. concert at Forte. At age 46, Benoit has already been inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, and he has racked up 8 Blues Music Awards and 3 Grammy Nominations. Benoit's most recent release was 2012's Legacy: The Best of Tab Benoit. Tickets for the show will be $20 in advance and $25 at the door. No onsale date has been set yet.

Country legend Crystal Gayle will play Meskwaki Casino outside of Tama/Toledo on July 11 at 8 p.m. Gayle was one of the biggest country singers of the 70's and 80's, accumulating twenty #1 singles, four ACM Awards, four American Music Awards, two CMA Awards, one Grammy, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Gayle is, perhaps, best known for her trademark near-floor-length hair and the song that sky-rocketed her to stardom, "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" (featured video). Tickets for the show are $20 to $30, and you must be 21 or older to attend.

Rising hip hop star Waka Flocka Flame (born Juaquin Malphurs) will perform at Wooly's in Des Moines on Sunday, June 15 at 7 p.m. WFF's debut album Flockaveli topped out at #2 on the Rap and R&B charts and #6 on the Billboard 200. His 2012 sophomore effort Triple F Life: Fans, Friends & Family hit #1 on the Rap chart, #2 on the R&B chart, and #10 on the Billboard 200. The rapper already has three Top 10 Rap singles, including the triple-platinum #1 smash "No Hands". Waka's much-delayed third album Flockaveli 2 is now set to drop on October 5. Tickets for his all ages Des Moines show are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
