T-Mobile Sidekick 4G Appears In First Preview Video

On March 15th, T-Mobile finally made the upcoming successor to the original Sidekick line, the Sidekick 4G, official and it will be hitting shelves in San Francisco and across the country later on this spring. Since the phone has yet to be released, previews and videos of it are essentially non-existant.

Fortunately, T-Mobile has treated current and future Sidekick 4G owners to fairly brief overview of the phone, its features and it should give those interested in picking up T-Mobile’s latest Sidekick device a pretty good idea about what the phone is all about.

While the video is great and the Sidekick should make some sort of appearance at CTIA next week, there are rumors swirling around about a couple of T-Mobile devices that will probably blow this thing out of the water which makes you wonder whether the timing here was right.

Earlier today, word got out that T-Mobile might be introducing the T-Mobile G2X (aka the Optimus 2X) next week which goes along with previous rumors that the carrier would be unveiling something called the HTC Doubleshot along with something called the HTC Pyramid which leaked out a couple of days ago and looks impressive.

However, for those in San Francisco addicted to texting, the Sidekick could prove to be a very capable phone, especially with HSPA+ speeds coming along with it.

Enjoy the video.
