T and T Hidden Treasures Opens in Carthage, North Carolina

Sometime last fall I attended an auction that a friend of mine held at her home located in Seagrove, North Carolina. She and her husband were going to move to the coast, so they decided to hold an auction to sell their possessions rather than try to move them.

come on in!

It was an all day affair, and was quite warm. There was a handful of die hard buyers that hung in there the entire day. Sitting next to me was a group of young people that were ardently bidding on an eclectic mixture of items. Most of the people that were bidding owned antique stores, and had a booth in a store, so I asked them if they owned a store. They said yes, and that they were preparing to open on October 8th, 2011.

Recently I stopped in to see them at their newly opened location, and to see what they had to offer. I must say that they have an awesome store! The building was originally the home to a mechanics garage, but it has a wood beam roof structure, which makes it quite unique. It almost looks like an old barn. The back end of the store has a roll up door which is wonderful to bring in fresh air, and is also very convenient for moving furniture in and out of the store!

Owners Tracey and Tracy of T & T Hidden Treasures really have a gem of a store right in the heart of Carthage, North Carolina. Located right next to the Moore County Fairgrounds, they are easy to find when you are out for a Sunday drive. The store is an eclectic mixture of antiques, vintage pieces and gently used but newer furniture. There is truly something for everyone! They are open Wednesday through Saturday 10am to 5:30pm. They do take consignments, and they also have booth rent options available. When the weather gets a bit warmer, they will also host ‘yard sales’ in the front of their store. They will rent a space for only $5! What a great way to sell some of those extra things that you no longer use, and get some cash too.

While shopping at T & T Hidden Treasures, if you see something that you have to have, but your checkbook is a little light, they also offer layaway! They ask for 30% down, and pay off the balance in 45 days. Nice terms, don’t you think?
