The remaining stars of Season 6 So You Think You Can Dance lived up to their pre-season hype. Exciting choreography by Sonya Tayeh, Tyce DiOrio and Jean-Marc and France Genereux gave the dancers a springboard to showcase their talents. The dancers who had outstanding performances during the evening were Jakob Karr (pictured), Ellenore Scott, Kathryn McCormick, Asheigh Di Lello, Ryan Di Lello, b-boy Legacy and Nathan Trasoras.

Krumper Russell Ferguson surprised the judges once again with his dance abilities. His partner Noelle Marsh also beautiful in her routine “A Case of You” choreographed by Tyce DiOrio. The dancers will find out tonight if they made it to the Top 10. Karen Hauer, the sensual ballroom dancer and Victor Smalley may be at risk again this week. Every judge criticized their hip-hop number by Laurie Ann Gibson.

The standout choreography by Sonya Tayeh gave the show a needed boost especiallly since innovator Mia Michaels left the show at the beginning of the season. Tayeh's first jazz routine for Kathryn McCormick and Legacy was smart and beautiful. She played to both dancers’ strengths. Legacy did a b-boy move called “The crab” and walked backwards across the stage on his hands with his body in a parallel position. His feet never touched the floor. McCormick was elegant and had beautiful lines and extensions. At that point of the competition it was Nigel Lythgoe’s favorite number. Unlike previous weeks Lythgoe’s anger and frustration disappeared.

Ashleigh Di Lello and Jakob Karr performed Tayeh’s lyrical jazz number to “Time Flies” by Lykke Li. Jakob Karr is always impressive. Ashleigh Di Lello showed growth and elegance in her technique. She also dances with confidence and emotion.

Tonight the SYTYCD judges will have difficult choices to make.
Judge Adam Shankman said on Twitter, “Tonite is going to be very hard no matter how you look at it. Don’t know bttm 3 yet, but some Peoples faves are gonna go home. I feel sick.” Fans feel the same way. Bravo to Season 6 for bringing it last night.
