Don't wait. Tickets are going fast for this one-night only (Saturday, March 8, 2014) performance of SYTYCD and DWTS Argentine tango choreographers Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica. The production, "Te Amo, Argentina," is a multimedia extravaganza featuring music from the Latin Grammy Award-winning album "Antonio Lysy at the Broad: Music from Argentina."
Larici and Barrionuevo are Los Angeles-based choreographers who won the "Superstars of Dance" and have choreographed for "So You Think You Can Dance" in the United States and in Great Britain. Larici and Barrionuevo are the choreographers that the professional dancers on "Dancing with the Stars" call on for extra help with Argentine tango.
Antonio Lysy is a world-renowned cellist and he'll be leading the Te Amo Argentina Ensemble in the seductive sounds of Lalo Schifrin, Astor Piazolla and other tango composers. As you listen to the sounds of Argentina, and watch Larici and Barrionuevo dance, you'll also see projected images of Argentina.
