Yakima and Stegall, who served as partners during the first six live shows of "SYTYCD" 2013, bested contemporary artist Jasmine Harper and tapper Aaron Turner for the titles of America's favorite girl and guy dancers. The two diminutive performers turned in a series of strong routines during their time on the show, establishing themselves as early front-runners on July 2 with a spunky, energetic Nappytabs hip hop number set to "After Party."
Stegall, who was first to learn of his win, hugged Turner and told him it had been a pleasure working with him on the show before turning to "SYTYCD" host Cat Deeley. He tearfully said the victory "means everything to me" and went on to thank his friends and family for their support.
Yakima also seemed stunned to take the title, and said she couldn't believe it because she was surprised to make it to the Las Vegas round of the competition.
After Yakima and Stegall were declared the season 10 victors, show alums took to Twitter to extend their congratulations. Season 12's Audrey Case wrote "Congratulations @Dance10Amy and @Dance10Fikshun !! You are both so incredibly talented!"
Lindsay Arnold, who also competed during season 12 and currently works as a troupe member on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," tweeted well wishes to the winners and to the rest of the cast, writing "Congrats to @dance10amy and @dance10fikshun you both are amazing!:) also congrats to all of the top 20! You are all so great!:)"
With the 2013 season complete, "So You Think You Can Dance" will return to television in 2014 with an all-new crop of hopefuls.
