Bashar al-Assad may be a ruthless dictator but he is not stupid. A trained Ophthalmologist from the Western Eye Hospital in London, his life certainly did not turn out as he planned. After his older brother, whom was groomed to succeed his father, died in a car accident Bashar was called back into the Syrian Army. Clearly intelligent, would he truly make such a foolish move.
Would he go as far as to commit a chemical attack upon his own people? Would he commit such a heinous act knowing it would result in international backlash and likely regime suicide?
Syria is in the midst of a Civil War and during these times all rules are thrown out the window. The rebels goal: Get rid of Bashar al-Assad at all cost. Which leads to the question; could the rebels have used chemical weapons on their own people in order to draw the United States into the civil war to finally get rid of Assad?
The Facts: Chemical Weapons were launched into a rebel held Damascus suburb
The Unknown: Who launched the attack
Secretary of State, John Kerry, has stated many "facts" but never once out right said it was the Syrian regime that launched the chemical weapons attack. This was a classic false flag attack by the rebels, or a terrorist group interested in drawing the largest military force in the world into the conflict. It was designed to bring the mighty fist of American justice to rid Syria of Bashar al-Assad. Unfortunately for those who launched the attack, the current President of the United States was elected to end wars not start them.
