Syracuse University faces Wake Forest this weekend at home at the Carrier Dome at 12:30 as the team continues its inaugural run in the ACC. With a new head coach and several key position changes the results have been mixed; with some highs (52-17 win over Tulane) and lows (56-0 destruction by Georgia Tech).
SU will honor Art Monk (’80) and Craig Bingham (’82) before the game as both were named 2013 Letter Winners of Distinction. The big ceremony is at halftime when former SU great Donovan McNabb has his jersey retired. Joining Monk and Bingham, John Nicholson '68 (crew), Eileen (Smith) Edsall '81 (volleyball/basketball), the wife of Maryland head football coach Randy Edsall, and the 1983 NCAA champion men's lacrosse team will also be honored as as members of this year's Letter Winners of Distinction class.
Fans can purchase tickets to the Letter Winner of Distinction dinner being held on Friday, Nov. 1 at Turning Stone Event Center in Verona, N.Y. Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased by calling 315-443-1419 or by visiting suathletics.com/MyCuse. Tickets must be purchased by Thursday, October 31.
The Road Ahead
The teams road does not get any easier after Wake Forest (who almost beat Miami in Miami by the way) with road games the next two weeks at Maryland (1-2, 5-3) and at Florida State (Undefeated) followed by two home games against old foes Pittsburgh (2-2, 4-3) and finally Boston College (1-3, 3-4).

For $75 fans can take advantage of the Tops Family Four Pack, which includes two adult tickets, two youth tickets, a $5 concession voucher, free cushion seats with a seatback, and one Skytop parking pass.” (via suathletics.com)
