A downtown Syracuse restaurant is hoping it is making the right move, with "move" being the operative word.
The switch will find it offering lunch and dinner service in the former Pascale Wine Bar & Restaurant location at West Fayette and South Clinton streets -- with an entrance at 204 West Fayette Street -- in the Pioneer Cos. building. That space has been vacant since Pascale moved to Limestone Plaza in Fayetteville in 2010.
The restaurant is owned by Basillios Koumanidis and managed by Scott Chambers.
The move will allow The Black Olive to have a dining area more than three times the size of the current venue, plus a room for private events, and expanded catering services.
Hours will remain the same: open till 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Closed Sundays. Phone: (315) 399-5599.
