'Sy Johnson: Tales from the Loft' event at Center for Creative Photography

Sy Johnson will be speaking at the Center for Creative Photography on Thursday, February 7, 2013. This event is at 5:30 p.m. in the Center for Creative Photography Auditorium. This is a free event to attend.

The lecture is called "Tales from the Loft." Sy Johnson will discuss his experiences at the Jazz Loft at 821 Sixth Avenue in New York City where he played music and photographed musicians in the 1950s and 1960s. This event relates to one of the Center's current temporary exhibits featuring photos and tapes of the Jazz Loft ("The Jazz Loft Project: Photographs and Tapes of W. Eugene Smith, 1957-1965" exhibit).

About the Center of Creative Photography: The Center of Creative Photography is located on the U of A Campus just south of Speedway near the pedestrian underpass that is just East of Park Ave. The Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
