Actress Maggie Grace was at the South by Southwest film festival in Austin, Texas this year promoting her new film, "We’ll Never Have Paris." You probably remember Grace as the vampire Irina who famously outed Edward and Bella Cullen in the final "Twilight" Saga movie, "Breaking Dawn: Part 2." Of course, Grace has also been linked to another famous vampire—Damon Salvatore from the CW Network television show "The Vampire Diaries" (based on the L.J. Smith Young Adult novels of the same name). Grace and the actor who plays Damon, Ian Somerhalder, were costars in the J.J. Abrams hit show "Lost" and also dated briefly. You can read more about their cozy catch-up at PaleyFest earlier this week here.
We caught up with Grace and cast mate Jason Ritter ("Gilmore Girls," "Parenthood") to talk about their film. "We'll Never Have Paris" comes from husband and wife team Simon Helberg ("Big Bang Theory") and Jocelyn Towne who fictionalize the true-life obstacles they faced in a rom-com about a man who proposes to his long-term girlfriend while inadvertently breaking up with her. The film also stars Melanie Lynskey and Zachary Quinto.
As always, we asked the stars what they’re reading. Among other interesting mentions, Ritter gave a shout-out to "Parenthood" and "Gilmore Girls" cast mate Lauren Graham's novel "Someday, Someday, Maybe."
After the red carpet, the cast enjoyed a well-deserved exclusive dinner party at popup STK Supper Suite. Hosted by Blue Moon Brewing Company and Dobel Tequila, the cast enjoyed food and drinks and entertainment was provided by Los Angeles singer/songwriter Olivia Somerlyn.
