From the back of pedicabs to an entire exhibit, "Game of Thrones" was everywhere this year at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas. Festival-goers enjoyed a behind the scenes look at everything from costumes to dragons to swords. There was a place to mourn favorite characters, try the show’s signature Fire and Blood Red Ale, or even get a picture taken on the Iron Throne. After exploring the exhibit, we caught up with "Game of Thrones" actor Harry Llloyd to talk about his role in the show and what it was like to play the infamous Targaryen prince.
Lloyd was in town to promote his SXSW debut film "Big Significant Things." The film tells the story of young Craig (Lloyd) who lies to his girlfriend in order to go on a trip--alone--into the deep south, a week before the couple plans to move across the country together. Director/writer Bryan Reisberg and actress Krista Kosonen, along with Lloyd, sat down with us to talk about making the film, their experiences with film fundraising website Kickstarter, and some of their favorite scenes. We got a good laugh when Lloyd mentioned his scenes with Kosonen and Kosonen mentioned her kissing scenes with Lloyd. As always, we also asked the cast some bookish questions about their favorite reads. Make sure to check out the full video above.
