We all remember the 2014 SXSW tragedy of a car plowing into a group of fans last March. One of the many victims was 18-year-old Mason Endres who was seriously injured that night. While Endres’ injuries were not life-threatening, the fractured bones she suffered in her nose, neck and leg meant she was in for a hospital stay, and she would miss the chance to see one of her favorite bands—Jared & The Mill, an indie-folk band from Phoenix, Ariz.
Endres had befriended members of the band during the 2014 SXSW event and had kept in touch with them in the months that followed their first encounter. When band members learned of her situation after the frightening accident this year, they visited Endres in the hospital and performed a private show for her in her hospital room.
Now Circuit of The Americas (COTA) and RedFest presented by Natty Light will reunite the musical soul mates once again, by hosting Endres, who is still recovering from her injuries, during a special visit to RedFest on Saturday, May 24. The teenager will enjoy a backstage visit with her friends from Jared & The Mill just prior to their scheduled performance on the RedFest Natty Light Stage.
