The Swedish House Mafia (aka Steve Angello, Axel "Axwell" Hedfors and Sebastian Ingrosso) won't be in attendance at SXSW for tonight's premiere of their music documentary "Leave The World Behind" in the 24 Beats Per Second section.

The documentary was shot by Christian Larson who captures the DJ trio following their break up and final world tour together.

Larson shot the group's first documentary “Take One” in 2009, which was dubbed "Spinal Tap for the acid house generation."

Following its premiere, the music documentary will screen in major cities including Los Angeles (in the ArcLight's Cinerama Dome in Hollywood), New York, Amsterdam and Sydney, Australia, before its theatrical release across Europe, Australia and Asia.

Leave the World Behind" will become available for download via iTunes in April.

"Leave The World Behind" screens at 6pm in Austin's Paramount Theatre as part of the SXSW Film and Music Festival.

Also blowing into Austin tonight will be the U.S. premiere of Oscar winner John Ridley's biopic "Jimi: All Is By My Side" about the legendary guitarist's life from 1966-67 as an unknown backup guitarist playing New York’s Cheetah Club to making his mark in London’s music scene up to the moment he departs for the Monterey Pop Festival where he became an rock icon.

Ridley's biopic comes with a bit of controversy over the Hendrix estate refusing to grant the use of Hendrix’s popular songs such as "Hey Joe," "Wind Cries Mary" and "Purple Haze" for which the rock legend has become synonymous.

The Hendrix family went so far as to team with ICM Partners to announce they will produce their own feature film chronicling Hendrix's life story.

According to Deadline, the agency has signed up Experience Hendrix LLC, the family-owned enterprise that controls the songs and rights of the legendary late guitar player.

Ridley's script for "12 Years a Slave" recently won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.

"Jimi: All Is By My Sides" stars Andre Benjamin from the hip hop duo Outkast as Jimi Hendrix with Imogen Poots as Linda Keith, who helps Hendrix launch his career.

Benjamin reportedly spent six hours a day practicing the guitar to play the role.

Unfortunately, fans will not get to see or hear Benjamin perform "Purple Haze" in the biopic.

Instead, the film includes covers of The Beatles "Sgt. Peppers" and several blues songs from legendary guitarist Muddy Waters that Hendrix himself covered in the 1960s.

The biopic had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.

Its SXSW U.S. premiere takes place tonight at 9pm in the Paramount Theatre.
