Earlier this week, Perfect World Entertainment announced that its upcoming free-to-play, martial arts MMORPG, “Swordsman”, would be entering the open beta stage next week, and with that news comes a new walkthrough trailer.

Based on the popular wuxia novels from Louis Cha, who has sold over 100 million books worldwide and is the author of “The Book and the Sword”, “Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain” and “The Deer and the Cauldron” as well as many more, “Swordsman” has players stepping into the role of a disciple of one of ten available martial arts schools, Shaolin, Wu-tang, Splendor, Infinity, Harmony, Sun and Moon Cult, Five Venoms, Zephyr, House Tong and E’mei. Each school has its own unique fighting style and abilities, and as players grow stronger they will battle against members of rival schools as well as the powerful Ming government.

The free-to-play MMORPG, “Swordsman”, will enter its open beta stage beginning on July 3, 2014, it is currently still in the closed beta stage. Those players that have taken part in the closed beta phase, will receive their closed beta awards once the open beta begins. To learn more about “Swordsman”, or to sign up for the open beta, you can visit the game’s official page.

The new walkthrough trailer that Perfect World Entertainment has released for “Swordsman” is available up top. In the video, Product Manager Gabrielle Heiland, discusses some of the key points of “Swordsman”, including the cinematic story, the action-packed combat, the fluid movement, skill based PvP and the immersive guilds.
