Grammy-award winning Christian rock band Switchfoot released their new album "Fading West" today on Atlantic Records/Word. If that isn't exciting enough, Switchfoot is coming to Nashville in April.

In support of the new album. Switchfoot announces a 47-city U.S. tour with performances confirmed in Nashville as well as in Memphis and Knoxville and other concert venues across the country.

During their 16 years as a band, Switchfoot has sold 5.5 million copies worldwide of their eight studio albums. "Fading West" is hailed as somewhat of a departure from the rock sounds of "Vice Verses" into a new array of cultural influences collected during their 2012 World Tour. Fans got a sneak peek of the new project last week when iTunes offered the album as a Radio First Play.

"Fading West" has already spawned its first No. 1 radio hit “Love Alone Is Worth The Fight,” which has claimed the top spot for the sixth consecutive week on the Billboard Christian Hot AC/CHR chart with a bullet while simultaneously hitting No. 16 and climbing on the National Christian Audience chart.

Hear it for yourself when Switchfoot comes to Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium on April 27. Check the Christian Concert Calendar for more tour dates.
