Now that the award-winning AMC drama "Breaking Bad" aired its final episode, some of the actors are finding new roles to step into. On Thursday, October 3 The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that R. J. Mitte, who played Walter White's son Flynn, has joined the ABC Family drama "Switched at Birth" as a recurring character.
Mitte will play a college student named Campbell who works with Daphne (Katei Leclerc) at a free clinic. The character was paralyzed during a snowboarding accident and it's unclear how we comes to work at the clinic or meet Daphne. It's possible Daphne works at the clinic as part of her community service ordered by the court.
Show creator Lizzy Weiss also confirmed the casting and Mitte has already begun filming scenes for the new series. Mitte's character could be a new love interest for Daphne, since she gets a new one every season or just a new friend who will be in her life for awhile. The character will appear in several episodes of the third season, which will have twenty episodes. "Switched at Birth" returns to ABC Family in January 2014.
