The month of August at Mountain Creek Golf Course is dotted with come one, come all events that are geared to produce grins before and after players fire their shots at the pins.
The first tourney will be the Swiss Open on Aug. 10. The fee for members is $30 and it’s $55 for guests. Included in the costs are lunch, golf, dinner and a huge prize table.
A taste of Switzerland starts the day when a lunch of veal sausages is served at 11:30 a.m. Play begins at 12:30 p.m. The dinner will be Fondue Chinoise and it gets going at 6:30 p.m.
“We get people from as far away as Montreal to this annual tournament when we show and share the Swiss culture,” said Jonathan Schaepper, Mountain Creek’s owner.
The next event at Mountain Creek will be the ever-popular Glo-Ball Night Golf Tournament on Aug. 22.
Supper will kick off the tourney at 6:30 p.m., and then the golfers in groups of up to six players will take on two six hole courses - one on the front nine and the other will be on back nine.
Play begins at 8:30 p.m. The fees, which include the golf, supper and plenty of prizes, are $35 for members and $40 for guests.
