OYE, a swimwear design company based in Istanbul, has set its sights on the U.S. hoping to get a toehold in the beach going, swimming pool lounging American market with their made-to-keep-you-cool-while-looking-scorching-hot, 2013 summer collection.
The Turkish fashion design team is run by two sisters, Zeynep and Ayca Sadikoglu.
According to Elle, Mar. 5, the sexy line is “practically guaranteed to turn heads with plenty of low necklines and sheer mesh inserts."
OYE is short for “open your eyes,” but their swimwear is so appealing, they should consider renaming it EPO – eyes popping out!
Designer Ayca says what makes a swimsuit sexy “all lies in the attitude of the wearer.”
She said, “When a woman feels confident and sexy, it doesn't matter whether she's in a one-piece or a bikini. It's the person who makes the garment sexy. I like encouraging women to explore different styles and discover the one she can't live without.”
Ayca also thought she was smart to work with one piece swimsuits because “there's more space to be creative [than with a bikini]."
Most of OYE designs are in black because black is “understated, sexy, effortless, chic, and sophisticated.” Ayca who has never been a fan of using a lot of color told Elle, “It's time for me to get out of my comfort zone. I'm definitely thinking crazy metallics for 2014."
The OYE summer line will be available in American Neiman Marcus stores in mid-April. Slight modifications have been made to some of the more risqué European designs for the introduction to the American consumer.
Prices start at $295. Wow!
