Looking for the perfect way to keep baby cool this summer? I was too and being a mommy of two, I also needed something that would allow me to safely care for two kiddos in the pool and still feel like I was in control and my children were completely safe. I tried floaties and lifejackets but living in the south, I still felt like my 10 month old son was just getting too much sun and at risk for sunburn. Finally, at Target.com I found the SwimWays Baby Spring Float Sun Canopy which offered my son a way to safely float in the shade and still allow me to safely care for my other child in the pool.
The floatation device has two rings, one larger around one smaller, connected by mesh with two small holes in the center for baby’s cute, sun screened legs. The canopy attaches on both sides and can be used directly over baby’s head or clipped in the front or back to provide shade based on the time of day and position of the sun. By far my favorite feature is the tray like space the mesh provides to set toys that will not float away or even a sippy cup for a quick drink of water. Although the Float Sun Canopy is very convenient and provides excellent shade for baby, it is also on the larger side of floatation devices and therefore does not work especially well in smaller pools. The SwimWays Baby Spring Float Sun can be found at any local Target in the Houston area as well as Target.com for around $19.89 depending on sales and special ads. Overall, a great way to keep baby splashing, safe, shaded and completely entertained while mom feels like a multi-tasking genius!
