Swimsuits and indie music headline two-day festival in Las Vegas

See also

Fans of indie rock and fans of swimsuits will come together to celebrate this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue by partying together for two days at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Beauties and Beats Festival. This festival is being held at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, a high-class newer hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.

To bring attention to the classic collection of models wearing swimsuits in the famous magazine, 17 looks will be paraded out while 17 indie artists also strut their stuff to commemorate the new collection. Ten of the 17 bands will play at the two-day festival. Featured bands who will play at the event include The Black Lips, Delta Spirit and Little Hurricane.

With indie bands paired with beautiful models in sexy swimsuits, the event is bound to catch the eye of the usual fan of swimsuits and bikinis while appealing to a different crowd of indie fans who do not usually pay attention to Sports Illustrated.

Without the thump of the usual club fare to sully the experience with overplayed radio hits, this indie-focused event may offer a good time, and a good view, to a wider audience.
