If you can't find a VFW or Moose hall serving up a Friday fish fry, just find the nearest Famous Dave's. Yes, it's a barbeque chain, but the restaurants have brought back guest favorite, Sweetwater Catfish.
The BBQ restaurant chain was driven to remove the popular appetizer and entree from menus in 2011 because it was unable to get the quality it wanted and it couldn't keep restaurants reliably supplied.
Catfish is again available as three menu items: as an appetizer, as a platter accompanied by the choice of two side items and Famous Dave's signature Corn Bread Muffin, and as a combo with either Georgia Chopped Pork or the St. Louis-Style Spareribs. You don't even have to wait for a Friday to roll around - it's available seven days a week.
