Atlanta, Ga.'s SweetWater Brewing Co. began shipping out its special 17th Anniversary Saison Farmhouse Ale this week. Expect to begin seeing 22-ounce bombers of the Brettanomyces-infused, Saison-style ale (which you can read up on here) on Augusta shelves and select taps within the week. If you were unable to attend the brewery's "17 Years of Heady Beers" birthday bash (see previous link), where the beer debuted, then you are most definitely in for a treat.
Speaking of once-in-a-lifetime brews, the brewery also announced the next addition to their Dank Tank series of one-off brews. While no specific details have been released just yet, the brewery had this to offer:
Hopped to the gills, this brew will pack a hash-filled punch and may leave folks unable to walk the line – hence its name—Johnny Hash.
Johnny Hash should be making its debut sometime next month.
And just in case you were unaware (meaning you're probably running an hour behind everyone else at this point), Spring officially rears its head next week. Just in time for the season (and appearing right alongside the 17th Anniversary Saison and 420 Extra Pale Ale cans), SweetWater's spring seasonal, Road Trip Ale, a hopped-up and warm-fermented Pilsner-style delight, began shipping this week. Keep your eyes peeled for six-packs of this warm-weather wonder to begin hitting shelves within the week as well.
