'Sweethearts' Night Out' talks love and heartache through song on Feb 14 (Video)

Whether Valentine’s Day is dreaded or anticipated, Club Passim knows how to put those emotions into song. Three musically blessed couples will open their hearts about love and heartache through unique storytelling and a live music tribute featuring original, classic, and contemporary songs! Darol Anger is a nationally known award-winning fiddler who not only wrote the popular ‘Car Talk’ theme song, but has lead groundbreaking local talent in his thirty-year career such as "The Turtle Island String Quartet", the "Duo," and "Montreaux" to name a few. Anger is also leading young musicians to success at Berklee School of Music. Alongside him is his significant other, Emy Phelps, an Oregon-based lead guitarist whose vocal and musical style is reminiscent of superstars such as Lyle Lovett or Emmylou Harris.

Maine-born fiddler and folk singer Lissa Schneckenberger breathes new life into classic and contemporary dance tunes while her husband, Corey Dimario lends his talent to a variety of bands such as Celtic music group, "Spin," American bluegrass quartet, "Crooked Still" as well as many other local acts.

Oregon-born Berkee graduate Hanneke Cassel won the 1997 Scottish Fiddler Championship and has traveled the world performing her music. Her most recent CD is called, ‘For Reasons Unseen.’ She will be joined by Mike Block, who recently released his new CD, ‘Brick By Brick’ last year. Mike is a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with renowned musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma, Lenny Kravitz, Shakira, and Bobby McFerrin. He has also made television appearances on ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien,’ ‘CBS Early Show,’ The Disney Channel, and VH-1.
