Once again, my Valentine's Day specials list is back on!
I did this several years ago, in 2009 when I interviewed the amazing actress J.Smith-Cameron about her favorite spots in the Village. So now I'm at it again, but this time around, I have so many special sweetheart deals that I can talk about them in more than one post. Expect several blogs in the next few days and weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, and I’m telling you right now, the deals will be sweet, and some will only be listed on my blog, so it's almost a clandestine affair. Expect gift ideas, fun theater recommendations and at the end of each piece I will give you a restaurant recommendation. It's going to be so much fun!
This week, I’m going to talk about the most obvious love trinkets -- jewelry, right?
Innasense is probably the only place I’ve ever bought any jewelry for myself – ever. So it’s more than my favorite store, it’s my only store, truly. It’s the store of lovely stones and gems created with such intense craftsmanship, that it's just worth it to stop in to take a look. Innasense is offering my readers a secret sale. That's right. Just for my Greenwich Village friends. They are offering you, my readers, 20% off of all silver rings for the entire month of February! The 20% off deal is available in the West 10th location only. You will need to mention the deal and possibly bring in a copy of the article printed out to get the deal.
For those of you who only like to shop online, I have an alternative.
Zarina's Jewels (Online Only) -- Now, this one is not a store in the village, but I get so many compliments on my necklaces, that I asked Zarina's Jewels to extend a deal for my readers (and friends). For the month of February, Zarina (my aunt) is offering my examiner readers a chance to buy one necklace and get the second at 50% off at her Esty store front . Check out her gorgeous earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Love!
With your gift giving under your belt, now I’ll send you to one of my favorite spots to enjoy your special time with your Valentine. Italian food is always romantic, right?
Morandi - 211 Waverly Place. What a spot, what a buzz! Morandi offers delicious Italian and some fanfare. It's not exactly quiet, but without enough wine, you'll find it romantic. I often see celebrities at this restaurant. What to order? The dry aged steak for two. I never order steak, but this steak is pretty amazing.
