This is an amazing story of survival by a young kitten in Texas who got herself into a tight spot. Her new, mom Lisa Stanley Kaharl, posted this sweet baby's story on her GoFundMe webpage on April 18.
'Itty Bitty Attic Kitty' was found stranded in Lisa's attack after a storm went through the area. This baby had everything going against her. She's only three to four weeks old, with no mother cat in sight. It's believed her mother was one of the ferals in the area.
Itty got herself a cozy dry spot in the attic of Lisa's home. For two days Lisa and her son have been going up through the attic and up on the roof trying to find her by following her pitiful meow. Itty finally moved to an area where she could be snatched up and brought into the inhabitable part of the home.
Lisa is feeding Itty with a syringe, and so far things are going well. Except financially. Lisa is out of work after losing her job due to health issues. The family doesn't have the funds to give Itty the medical care she needs at this time.
The GoFundMe webpage was created in hopes cat lovers who have been in the same financial strain in the past can help a few dollars with expenses.
Itty needs routine vetting, including testing for FIV/FeLV, a worm check and of course Itty will need to be spayed when she's old enough. Lisa has stated she wants to prepare Itty for a new family, and any funds left over will go to an animal cause in her area.
