There is a lot that’s well, grand, about the Grand Wailea resort, from its golf courses to its restaurants and, of course, the beach. But the next time you’re on Maui – or even if you’re going for the first time – don’t miss the resort’s rooftop honey. It might be the best honey in the world.
So with that in mind, Grand Wailea’s Spa Grande is incorporating the fresh artisanal honey, which more nutrients and benefits, than other kinds of honey, into its treatments. The main benefit most people think of about artisanal honey is its natural taste and freshness, but raw honey, such as the one produced at Grand Wailea is also antimicrobial, antibacterial, nourishing and hydrating for the skin.
For example, the Spa Grande’s Ali’i Honey Mango Steam Cocoon treatment harnesses the nourishments of the fresh, raw rooftop honey, starting with a full-body mango exfoliation and then an application of the raw honey on the entire body. Eucalyptus steam is used to maximize the absorption of the honey’s nutrients leaving the skin soft, hydrated and vibrant.
The treatment last only 25 minutes, but it might be the best 25 minutes you’ll spend in a long time.
