Even though summer is slowly winding down, there are still events filled with music, food, and shopping left to enjoy right here in Colorado that are adult and family friendly.
The Colorado State Fair located in Pueblo Colorado starts on August 27th to September 6th is one of the best end of the summer activities available to us all.
There is food for all and of course games and farm animals for the kids and adults alike. On September 5th there will be Fiesta Day, which will be a celebration of the Hispanic culture that has become very present over many years now in Colorado. The state fair will also have booths and multiple stages with all kinds of music and entertainment. There will be even more booths (about 270) filled with jewelry, art and clothing from even more local merchants.
The Fair will hold performances from Emerson Drive and Celebracion De Los Charros. There will also be monster trucks and wild west ranch rodeo. Something to cater to everyone.

One of the most popular end of the summer events is The Taste of Colorado. There will be 50 local establishments that will be featured that will have a taster for everyone to enjoy. Not only can you get a taste of casual dining but you can also get a taste of some of Colorado’s fine dining.
One of the great thing about The Taste of Colorado is that you can walk five steps and taste a little Mexican food and walk five more and go Greek.
Not only will there be tons of food to try but there will also be all kinds of music to satisfy any preference. Performances range from Steve Azar a Nashville country star who debuted with his single Heartbreak Town (http://www.bretmichaels.com/2010/bio_files/bio.htm) all the way to Bret Michaels who was the lead singer and songwriter of Poison for 22 years (http://www.bretmichaels.com/2010/bio_files/bio.htm). The Taste of Colorado will also have even more booths (about 270) filled with jewelry, art and clothing from even more local merchants.
There will of course also be plenty of fun for the kids with carnival games and the kid stage.
The Taste of Colorado begins on Friday, September 3rd at 11:30 a.m. and will go through September 6th at 8p.m. For more information on The Taste of Colorado you can visit http://www.atasteofcolorado.com/participantinfo.asp
