Update 11/8/13: Champaigne was killed on 11/6/13 - Rest in peace.
A ten-year-old Labrador retriever mix is currently housed at the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif.
The dog, named "Champaigne" has been at this facility since October 12.
Everyday, as strangers walk the aisles, which are filled with homeless dogs, Champaigne looks for the familiar face who will whisk her away from the lonely kennel run and take her home.
Unfortunately, as the days continue to pass, the odds of that person arriving to save Champaigne grow ever slimmer.
The lovely senior is described as "gentle," and "friendly," but without the help of strangers, nobody will likely ever know, firsthand, just how wonderful she is.
Please take a moment to network Champaigne's information with the hopes that it reaches the person who can save her life.
