Sweet senior gray muzzled Lab mix looking for a comfortable home to retire

Primrose is a ten-year-old Labrador retriever and terrier mix with a heart of gold. She loves everyone, but just has to do it a little slower, because it's time this girl retired comfortably for as long as she has left. Volunteers are trying to help Primrose find just that.

This sweet dog has been at the Elizabethton/Carter Animal Shelter in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Sadly she has not had much attention; most of us know what happens to senior dogs. Everyone wants a puppy.

Senior dogs are great! They are usually house trained, don't chew the molding and the doors, and are perfectly content to take a leisurely walk, keep their human company and cuddle up for a comfortable nap as their human reads all of the successful animal rescue stories online.

"Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter She is fantastic with other dogs. She just needs a place to retire for a few short years if that long (she's a pretty old gal). AJ"

Primrose is also fine with cats; she is a fine older lady who is in dire need of a rescue today.

Any questions about adopting Primrose? You are welcome to email a volunteer at animalshelter@cartercountytn.gov for more details.

Please share Primrose's story with your friends, family and coworkers. Sharing saves lives, and even though you may not be able to help Primrose at this time, it only takes one person to make that amazing connection with this dog and literally save her life today.
