Sweet Saturdays at the Garfield Park Conservatory

Escape the Chicago cold for a few hours and step into the warm green house of the Garfield Park Conservatory for a 'Sweet' Saturday afternoon annual event!

Have you ever wondered what goes into all of those delicious desserts that you love?  The Garfield Park Conservatory is holding tours to learn about the plants that go into making our favorite desserts.  From bananas to cocoa and vanilla beans and cinnamon bark, you can learn how these plants are made into desserts.  Not only will you learn about these plants but you can taste them in their natural state!  You can even talk to experts that explain how vanilla and honey are processed.

Live music will also accompany the tropical tastes!

February 6 and 13th from 11am to 4pm with a suggested $3 donation.
