Sweet little dog in upstate SC shelter is crying out from eye pain; needs rescue

See also

A little dog is currently at a high-kill shelter in upstate South Carolina, where he's in horrible pain from dry eye, The Community Pet Project reported January 14.

This little guy hasn't even been given an ID number by the staff at Greenville County Animal Care Services, but he's in desperate need of rescue or a forever home. He has dry eye, and screams in pain while scratching his eyes.

This is a condition that's easily treated with the proper eye drops. If left untreated, it's not only painful, but can lead to blindness.

It's unclear just how long the high-kill shelter will give him. Please share the story of this poor baby, especially with those in the Greenville, SC area. He needs a rescue or adopter to get him out of the shelter and into a veterinary clinic.

Contact information for the shelter is listed below.

Greenville County Animal Care
328 Furman Hall Road
Greenville, SC 29609
864.467.3984 (office)
864.467.3294 (fax)

Please don't allow him to die alone, afraid and in pain at the shelter.
