Buddy Holly was found abandoned and badly injured in the West Linn area in Oregon. No one knows what happened to this sweet kitty. He managed to crawl in freezing weather, hungry, cold and suffering from raw open wounds.
Buddy is now under the care of Southgate Animal Clinic, where he's healing well under the loving care of their staff. PAWS is a non-profit pet adoption center that specializes in orphaned animals, as well as the homeless, unwanted and abandoned. Their mission is
"place as many homeless cats and kittens into loving, caring homes. In addition, we aim to educate pet owners, especially children, about proper care for their pets."
Since opening in June 1999, PAWS has placed more than 1,000 cats and 45 dogs into loving homes.
PAWS biggest need right now is to raise funds to buy a bigger building to provide room for more animals who need them. They need the help of their community, as well as animal lovers everywhere who hear of their mission to help the many cats and dogs who come to their shelter on the path to a forever home.
