Sweet Home Alabamapremiered its third season on CMT. Former NASCAR spokesmodel and season two favorite, Paige Duke is the bachelorette. Paige got to meet 22-suitors from country and city lifestyles. Trouble was brewing in the house as soon as the city guys walked into southern territory. As expected, city and country aren’t mixing well. All the guys came prepared to mock their competitors. Paige said she had prayed for the Lord to bring a guy into her life and apparently he listened with so many men to date. Paige had the chance to talk to each guy. She made it clear that she wasn’t impressed by cheesy pick-up lines. She also thought the flannel shirts on the southerners were much cuter than the business suits on the city men. Paige explained that she has a thing for a man who can sing. Recording artist, Dustin Tavella even serenaded her with a song when she asked him. What did the guys think? Of course, they thought she was beautiful, but they described her as “sweeter than sweet tea.” At the elimination ceremony, Paige was concerned that she’d make a mistake sending the wrong guys home, but all she had to go on was a first impression. Two guys were eliminated— Christian O’ Rourke from N.J. and Matt Beard from Satsuma, Ala. Paige felt like she didn’t have anything in common with Christian. She was afraid that Matt was just going to see her as “one of the guys.” Shaun Smith, who’s proving to be the comedian of the house, gets the first one-on-one date with Paige on the next episode. Stay tuned Friday 8c on CMT to see what happens next.
