As 'Sweet Home Alabama' season 4 continues, Kelsey's eliminations are becoming increasingly difficult. On the Friday, Dec. 13 episode, three of her potentials were sent packing.
However, first things first. Collin finally got his chance to "connect" with Kelsey. As we have known from the beginning, she had a crush on Collin prior to seeing him among her choices. However, it's been clear that she isn't 100% "sure" about him. She has wanted to figure out if he's a fantasy, or if he's for real. The two went on a jet-skiing date, and agreed that they had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Not surprisingly the two kissed and the chemistry was definitely there. The date confirmed that Collin isn't going anywhere yet. However, I'm still not totally convinced that Collin will be her final choice.
The group date was a gator catching challenge: Country boys against city boys. A one-on-one date was in the cards for one guy from whichever side won the challenge. During the outing, Kelsey got the chance to talk with some of the guys on the boat. It was pretty clear that she and Travis simply didn't have the "click," but she finally got a chance to talk with him. Emilio also came across as more serious this time, and let her know that he likes her. She told Todd that he's "her favorite." No big surprise there. Justin went in for the kiss. Dylan was the one who concerned her the most. She said she felt like she was talking with a whole new Dylan, and that he was withdrawn.
Nate was the city guy who scored the one-on-one date. He let her wear his suit jacket, and told her he is falling in love with the south. Kelsey was intrigued by him, and said he has moved way up on the totem pole. I have known for a while that Nate would be one of the final men sticking around, and tonight definitely confirmed it.
During elimination time, Travis was the first to get the tap from Boyd. This one was pretty predictable quite honestly. I loved Travis from the get-go. He never showed any sign of drama, and he's a nurse for crying out loud. He's definitely the city boy that could have been a country boy this season. While Kelsey said she loved his personality, she just realized that the romance wasn't between them.
Next up was Danny. Again, no huge surprise. It was obvious that his beautiful eyes wouldn't get sent home early, but I think it was also obvious that in the end, they simply weren't a match. Ultimately, she felt that there lifestyles were too different. Like Travis, Danny took his elimination like a champ, and told her that they need to remain friends.
From episode 1, I predicted Dylan as a frontrunner, and maybe even as Kelsey's final choice. The two just "match" to me, but after their chat on the group date, it was obvious that Kelsey was nervous about their relationship. When Dylan got the tap, part of me wondered if the "change" in Dylan was too much for her, but I figured she wanted to ask him what's going on................and that is exactly what it was. He explained that he is so afraid of getting his heart broken again, and that he has felt the barrier come down. When she asked Dylan to just "kiss her," on that tailgate, it was 'Sweet Home Alabama' history in the making. At least I think? I can't recall of anyone kissing on the elimination truck, can you? Dylan is definitely special to her. Todd is as well. I'm starting to feel like they will be her final 2?
The last person to be eliminated also didn't come as a gigantic surprise, but I figured he had another week or two. Last week, Chase and Kelsey's date seemed to go really well. I wouldn't say it went "Dylan and Kelsey well," or "Todd and Kelsey well," but the two kissed and he taught her how to ride a horse. I also thought Chase was one of the most handsome among the season 4 boys, so ladies everywhere lost some television eye candy tonight....for sure.
So there you have it: the house is becoming less crowded and bags are being packed constantly. While this season has been somewhat difficult to decode, it has went fairly close to how I predicted.....though I felt like I was going out on a limb with these predictions.
So here goes once again: I stand by my prediction that Todd and Dylan are the final two. It makes sense: one country and one city. Since she told Dylan she wants him to fight for her, that is always a good sign. It reminded me of Paige and Jeremiah. Something about the way she talks with Dylan makes me feel like she sees long-term potential in him. However, she has a HUGE "thing" for Todd and told him he was her favorite, so he is definitely walking confident. Anyways, aside from Todd and Dylan, I am now saying they will be joined by Nate and Justin. However, this is tough, and Emilio, Collin, or Jared could make their way into the four.
No matter what, there can only be one man walking away with Kelsey in the end. She says she found love and it's hard not to talk about it. Who do you think will be her final man standing?
