Sacramento is the creative home for many performers; the area has produced more than its share of talented artists. None are more popular or adored than the dynamic musical duo known as “Deaf Cat Jam”.
The Jam are known for their eclectic spanning of many musical genres; concerts may include thrash metal, Mozart concertos, scat, Gregorian chanting and more.
Oliver plays lead guitar, cymbals, electric washboard and kazoo, while Susie accompanies him doing vocals, humming and classical comb playing.
Oliver, dressed in pure white, has an angelic aura under the blazing spotlights. Only his mesmerizing blue eyes suggest a devilishly playful side to his personality.
Petite Susie’s sweet face and beautiful green eyes are equally compelling, although she favors a sleek outfit of silver, bronze and chocolate.
The couple insists that their relationship over the years has been strictly platonic; this assertion is backed by the fact that they have both been fixed.
Okay, so some of that isn’t completely accurate.
While they might have musical tendencies, they are actually two cats in desperate need of a new home. Their owners are moving far away and are not able to take them along, although they love them very much.
Oliver is an incredibly affectionate boy; he will start to purr when you look at him from across the room. He loves to play and be petted, and watching birds through the window is his favorite sport. Oliver is deaf, so he can’t hear when you call his name. Missing that one sense seems to have only increased his ability to love.
Tiny Susie is a sweetheart as well, and will run to the door to greet you when you get home. She loves to dance and play, but is equally happy just sitting with you on the couch.
Oliver and Susie are healthy indoor cats; they have been spayed/neutered and immunized. They are available for adoption through the non-profit group HART (Helen’s Animal Rescue Team). A $50.00 adoption fee applies for the pair.
