The Southern Wisconsin Buckskin Association (SWBA) will hold a four-day Memorial Showdown during the Memorial Day weekend. This is the second year for the annual event, which is now ABRA, PAC, OCAP & Arabian OEIP approved.
The all-breed open horse show will take place from Friday, May 27th, through Monday, May 30th, at Jefferson County Fair Park, in Jefferson, Wisconsin.
The 2011 Memorial Showdown will offer horse show competition in youth (tiny tot, youth 13 and under and youth 14-18), amateur and open divisions with four-day weekend high-point and circuit awards offered.
Horse show classes include:
- Barrels
- Equitation
- Halter
- Horsemanship
- Hunter Hack
- Hunter Under Saddle
- Poles
- Reining
- Showmanship
- Trail
- Walk/Trot
- Western Pleasure
- Western Riding
- and more.
Mare, gelding and stallion classes will also be held. Ribbons will be awarded in all horse show classes. The event will include a Hobby Horse Rookie Rewards class as well.

Weekend stalls may be available at Jefferson County Fair Park for the Southern Wisconsin Buckskin Association (SWBA) Memorial Showdown by advance reservation. Current negative Coggins test results will be required of all equine participants.
The Jefferson County Fair Park is located at 503 N. Jackson Avenue, in Jefferson, Wisconsin, approximately 35 miles east of Madison.
