The Swarm rallied multiple times from multiple deficits, to force overtime with Edmonton. In overtime the Swarm won on a Ryan Benesch goal at the 12:37 mark of overtime.
In the 2nd longest game in league history (72:23), and longest in team history, the Swarm (2-2) defeated the Rush of Edmonton, 10-9, in overtime, during the first game of its three game home stand. Rookie forward, Corbyn Tao, started the scoring for the Swarm, when he scored his 7th goal of the season, but the Swarm quickly fell behind 5-2. Joe Cinosky led the first rally of the game, when he scored his first career goal, to make it 5-3 in the 2nd quarter. The Swarm would score two more unanswered goals in the next 3:24 of the 1st half, to tie the game at halftime.
In the 2nd half the teams battled back and forth swapping goals most of the half. The Swarm led 7-6 after the third. Trailing 8-7, in the 4th Edmonton scored 2 unanswered goals to take a 9-8 lead, late in the game. With 1:10 remaining in the game, captain, Andrew Suitor scored his 5th goal of the season, knotting it up at 9. After that it would be a defensive battle until Benesch sank the game winner, late in overtime.
The swarm were led in Scoring by Callum Crawford, with 6 points (1 goal, 5 assists). Ryan Benesch had his 4th straight game with atleast 3 goals, as he tallied his third goal in overtime. The Swarm also recieved goals from Jamie Shewchuk, Andrew Suitor, Jordan MacIntosh, Corbyn Tao and Kevin Ross. Rookie goalie, Tyler Carlson, shined again making 32 saves on 41 shots faced, while playing the whole game and earning his 2nd career win, and 2nd on the season.
