The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic at Walt Disney World, a two-day event packed with food, wine, and other adult beverages, drew over 3,000 guests this year. The event ran on October 18 and 19 and included entertainment and seminars along with the food and beverage booths.
There were over 40 spots for guests to stop for a bite to eat or imbibe with a beverage. Restaurants represented at the event included Todd English’s bluezoo, Cib’s Smokehouse and Il Mulino New York Trattoria. The wine booths offered vino from places around the globe, and other drinks included craft beers and sake.
You can see scenes from this tasty event in the slideshow accompanying this article. Although you can buy individual tickets to purchase samples, your best bet is an all-inclusive wristband. That allows you to eat and drink whatever you wish throughout the evening.
The Swan and Dolphin resorts offer packages for this delicious event. They sell out, but you can sign up at www.swandolphinfoodandwineclassic.com to get information as early as possible about the 2014 dates and packages.
The Swan and Dolphin resorts are located within walking distance of both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. That makes the hotels a great spot to stay if you combine the Food & Wine Classic with the annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, with which it usually overlaps. The hotels also offer extra benefits like Extra Magic Hours and free transportation to all the Disney parks.
