Our local scene rocked the weekend prior to Christmas, and so shall it continue this week and on into this year's ending weekend! This week's feature will include New Year's Eve dates to help you choose which party(s) to attend.
Last week our local music scene was rocked by a sudden and much unexpected loss in the death of Tommy Kollman, who was a very well known drummer and friend locally. A rather simple but very touching memorial was held this past Friday at Bowditch Point Park. May a peaceful ride reach up to meet Tommy's soul...like when he tore up a drum kit!
This week, the show goes on with 10,000 Views taking over the Lani Kai this coming weekend. Stet, Timmy and John are ready to rock this resort in true Views style and leave you wanting more. Show starts at 9:30 PM. These boys can also be found at their regularly scheduled Wednesday slot at The Beached Whale at 10:00 PM. A Views night is always a good night!
Stolen Fruit takes over Doc Ford's deck this weekend and performs both Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 7:00 PM. They also will perform downtown on New Year's Eve in the Patio de Leon, they play at 10:30 PM Monday evening, check them out.
Groove Alliance is taking over Cape Coral over this year's end weekend, as they play the Dek Bar and Ralph's Place pretty much between Friday of this weekend and into Tuesday of the next coming week. Monday Groove Alliance is the New Year's entertainment at the Dek Bar and they start at 9:00 PM.
Push continues to entertain their local following while tracking in the studio with Scott Bush and John Gallow at Timeline Studios. This feature article will publish late this week as well, so do please keep an eye out for that piece! They take their camp to Tampa over this coming weekend for a stop at the Hard Rock Cafe in the Seminole Casino, in Tampa. Fans can ring in the New Year with Push at the Joint, in Cape Harbour on Cape Coral - show starts at 6:00 PM.
This Thursday, Superbot is off for the Holiday break and will return next week to The Beached Whale. This week, in their place, we have the original Reggae/Ska stylings of Sowflo. Show starts at 10 PM sharp and hope to see everyone out and about!
