We are getting back to the weekly music feature for the live entertainment of SW Florida this week! A family development delayed things for a spell, but the wheels are back in motion so please allow me a quick thank you to this grand community of entertainers for your support through what has become the most challenging time for me.
Are you ready to rock this week? Then we definitely have everything you are seeking and so much more.
From the south end of Fort Myers Beach on up through to Valerie's Lounge, to downtown Fort Myers and Cape Coral this area and it's talent are sure to produce live performances that will leave you wanting more. You have solo acoustic gigs to catch, as well as some full bands playing in an 'unplugged' fashion on up to your full band line ups turning their amps up to accomadate a full blast, no holds barred live rock show and everything in between.
Key West is also gaining more of a SW Florida taste to their musical agenda, as more of our talent heads towards the most Southern tip of our grand sand bar.
Some bands have experienced recent personnel changes, so to those such as: We Ain't Right, Troublemakerz and MT40, this local fan wishes you and your newest additions nothing but the best in your new future ventures together. Others may hold their same known member roster, but may have fine tuned their set lists to knock your socks off this tourist season!
Other members of our entertainment community are branching out to new areas and venues within the areas of Naples and Cape Coral to take their shows to audiences that may have had to travel a bit more to take them in at all.
One local gem of a live band tried on a new name, as well as some member change ups, the band formerly known as Starz has now changed their title to: Rockin' Horse and is sure to please just as well, if not even better than before.
On another page, a number of bands have also altered their focus from the live bar performances that feature cover tunes with original music tossed in like a balanced meal, to a more original act and saving performances for festivals and larger level shows and stages.
Yet others are recording currently and SW Florida will soon have brand new recorded originals and re-makes from some of their favorite local music heroes. Stay tuned, as this fan will feature what local original music possible in the video montage that acompanies this weekly piece.
An old favorite returns to the music feature that this fan has not seen in a long while and they produce some of the finest classics you could ask for, including the likes of Jimi Hendrix and mastered Led Zeppelin covers you may not get to hear from other line ups. This will make a great treat in the Nikon lense this weekend, hands down!
Eye Empire returned to Cape Coral this week with special guests Ekotren and Three Years Hollow for a little taste of some grand signed music through our beloved sand bar on the west coast of Florida. This was Eye Empire's second visit, as they had accompanied Nonpoint on their last round here, back towards the end of August.
Do not forget about Art and Music Walks in downtown Fort Myers also, as these fall on the first and third Friday of every month and Bike Nights are alive and well in the cities of Fort Myers and Cape Coral through May. Be sure to consult the local websites for both to mark your calendars to enjoy great bikes, food, music and people at these great events.
