An alleged promotional teaser for Far Cry 4 has surfaced online and the gaming community is unsure if its real or fake.
The image in question features Vaas Montenegro (one of the main villains in Far Cry 3) wearing a straightjacket while in solitary confinement. The surrounding walls have profanity, random suggestions and quotes he uttered in the last game are scribbled on the walls.
It has also been pointed that under "Follow Me" has the date 4/14/2014 written. It has been speculated that its the date when the game will either be released or when the first trailer will be unveiled.
Gamers who doubt the authenticity of the image point out to fact that Vaas was killed by the end of the first act of Far Cry 3. Multiple characters in the second act also confirmed that Vaas death.
Those who believe the image to be real point out that Vaas was killed while Jason Brody was hallucinating and that you never get to confirm the body. Its also known that Vaas was a mentality unstable character who was known to commit random acts of violence.
The game was officially announced back in July by Tony Key, Ubisoft Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, during an interview with Martin Gaston of Gamespot.com. No official release date has been given but Ubisoft plans to release it sometime during Q4 2014.
Far Cry 4 will be the fourth game in the main series that has players fight for survival in a jungle environment.
