A NY murder suspect says "Stab 'em all" in an interview about his victims. Lucius Crawford was speaking to investigators about the three women he stabbed to death over 20 years when he said, "You stab one, stab `em all."
An article posted today at the Seattle Times reports Crawford, who has been "convicted of several other knifings" over the years, "said he stabbed women for no good reason, usually while high and after having sex."
Prosecutors offered transcripts which reveal Crawford saying "something just came over me and I stabbed them," adding, "I have a demon inside me and I just snap." The transcripts reveal Crawford has admitted to three different killings, two in 1993, and one last month.
"Kill once, you'll kill again." Crawford said. He admits to leaving while at least two of his fatally wounded victims were "alive but dying." The 60-year-old has been in and out of prison since the 1970's for non-fatal stabbings of women, and says he "first started cutting when [he] was in [his] teens, but "started up again" after prison.
His lawyer, Angelo MacDonald, says Crawford denies "at least some of the killings."
The "Stab 'em all" statements were released after Crawford pleaded not guilty to the murder charges of two women. He has been charged separately for the third fatal stabbing. In court, his lawyer stated his client may be "mentally disabled" based on "a doctor's report from the 1990s" saying Crawford's IQ was 64. He was also "labeled mildly retarded."
