San Jose police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a March 2012 homicide.
Police have identified Vicente Duarte, 24, as one of the men involved in the March 8, 2012 shooting death of Dashawn Brown. Brown was found in the 5100 block of Monterey Road suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at Regional Medical Center.
A second suspect in the homicide, 20-year-old Reynaldo Ledesma, has been located and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of homicide, but Duarte remains at large. He is being considered an accessory to the murder.
Police say the victim and suspects had a longstanding feud, but the primary motive behind the shooting is still under investigation.
Anyone with information on this case or Duarte’s whereabouts is urged to contact Det. John Barg at (408) 277-5283. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers at (408) 947-7867 and may be eligible for a reward.
