More than a month after a man was shot multiple times and left to die in the driveway of a home in northwest Atlanta, police said they have captured his alleged killer.

Mr. Christopher Wise, 32, was charged Wednesday with murder in the shooting that happened on Nov. 6 at 1411 Lavender Drive, according to Atlanta police.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified his alleged victim as Mr. Dan Wang, 54, of Lilburn.

So far, police have not released a motive for the murder, but jail records show Mr. Wise was also charged with armed robbery in the crime.

Shortly after 8:50 p.m., officers responded to the Lavender Drive home after getting a call of a person shot, police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.

“When the officers arrived on the scene, they noticed that an unresponsive male was lying in the driveway at this location,” Officer Jones said.

Investigators said the victim was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect while in the driveway of the home. Mr. Wang was shot several times and died at the scene, officials said.

It’s unclear why the Lilburn man was at the home and police have not said how they linked Mr. Wise to his murder.

The Atlanta man was also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felony armed robbery, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to the Fulton County jail booking records.
